EcologicalCharacter

The essence of this project is the belief that ecological characters are likely to be generally conserved phylogenetically in many clades, as are morphological characters. Defining ecological characters is however harder than morphological ones. An ecological character might be defined as any character of the organism that influences the distribution and abundance of individuals of that organism. This could range from morphological characters themselves to descriptions of the niche that organisms live in. For this project however, we will explore the niche-space that taxa live in.
