My interests include the historical, theoretical, methodological, and empirical aspects of understanding the causes of differential rates of cladogenesis. I am presently working to refine the conceptual and methodological framework for testing causal hypotheses of differential diversification rates, to be applied to an analysis of evolution of growth form and is effects upon rates of cladogenesis in angiosperms. Ultimately, I hope to contribute to a more unified approach to understanding the causes of differential diversification; one that incorporates the biological, geographical, and ecological factors of biological diversification. More?
