PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS
I am looking for undergraduate and
graduate students to join my lab at University of Missouri, St. Louis,
beginning fall semester 2008. My lab resesarch will broadly focus
on plant structure and function (anatomy and physiological ecology),
community ecology, and evolutionary ecology, both in the temperate and
tropic zones. My own research will especially focus on plant traits
related to water transport and tissue support. I will expect students
to develop their own indepenent projects under the broad confines of
the lab focus but also expect students to be interactive within the lab
group. I will hold lab meetings, journal clubs, and individual meetings
with my lab members, offering many opportunties for discussions.
